Okay, I'm sure I'm missing something REALLY simple. I bought my Citigo last week. Every time I go into a tunnel, the lights on the speed dial and fuel dial fade completely off to black meaning I can't see any of the information - meaning I don't actually know my speed. I haven't driven it at night yet so I don't know if it happens in the dark.

 

Any ideas what's going on there? Is there a setting I haven't seen? I've tried it with lights on and lights off and it does the same thing. I don't have an 'auto' lights setting.

This is deliberate to encourage you to turn on your lights. It definitely should light up fully if your lights are fully on.

It's a stupid namby-pamby feature to encourage you to have the lights on (not just sidelights or DRL) all the time. Irritating as hell.

If you have auto lights they'll come on in a tunnel and the dash stays lit.

I think it's simply clever. 👍

I thought something was up with the dash light background. But it was one of those "did that just happen or is it me?" moments. At least I know now.

 

Not sure its any benefit TBH. Filed under 'another thing we dont need that could go wrong'.
