Early 2015 octy vrs

Featured Replies

Hi,,

Went to view a January '15 registered on a 64 plate vrs today.

I was impressed with the car apart from the fact the vehicle didn't have a service book ?

My question is, was it supposed to have one from new ? As the independent sports specialist stated that after a certain date vehicles only have an online service record.

I thought this was a load of tosh and he was trying to fob me off.

Could someone please confirm one way or the other ?

Thanks Simon

I can't recall the exact date it happened but you were told correctly; physical service books are no longer.  The service records are now virtual and accessed/shared across franchised dealers.

A Skoda dealer should be able to print out/show you the service history OR (I think) you can use the MySkoda App (you need the VIN) to take a look at the service history yourself.

My mid 2015 vRS's service history was electronic - no hard copy at all, although printable as our local friendly penguin has pointed out.
