does anyone know if unplugging the cluster will affect anything??

No, it will be fine, but I wouldn't put the keys back in the ignition or anything, and I'd make sure the battery is disconnected just to make sure.

The worst that can happen is it will need recoding with vag-com, but I was fine.

BTW, do you realise its not simply a case of changing bulbs, they are surface mounted LEDs, and lots of them. Good luck mate!:thumbup:

  If you dont know. Dont touch it!!!

You'll not have any problems with unplugging the cluster as mentioned above, 2 plugs behind it - one each side. Be careful of the locking arrangement on the right hand one. There are only 2 screws to remove the cluster which are behind the small trim above the steering column.

Again, as stated above, the illumination on the Fabia is SM LED's, there are a couple of guides on the net from German and other European owners if you search around. Be careful though, it'll be costly if you knacker it.
