Erm, maybe the button has failed?

Scan it with VCDS or similar and use the measuring blocks to confirm if the button is working :)

Is there any member in Guernsey who could help us, sort out this problem with my voice control?

My steering wheel voice control has suddenly stopped working, has anyone else had this problem, and if so I do I resolve it?

Didn’t know this was your own personal site

Excuse me?

Asking the same question twice doesn't help anything. It makes it harder to keep track of what you've done and what advice you've been offered. It's much better to keep everything in one place as others can build on what's been done so far rather than starting from scratch.

In terms of this issue, I've offered advice on your other thread. You've asked for help finding a local VCDS user. This has also been answered on at least two of your threads. Have you tried to contact the member (smeghead) on Guernsey with VCDS...?

Please except my apologies, I have had the dog having surgery today at the vets + I am not that switched on when it comes to posting things on here, please forgive us for my short fuse.

I have tried to contact smeghead but haven’t received a reply, don’t think he has posted for ages.

No worries, hope your dog is back to normal quickly 🙂

Although I've never used them, I believe carista or obdeleven can also be used to read fault codes. Not sure if either are able to show the measuring blocks which can be used to see if the button is pressed.

They are both certainly cheaper than VCDS as I'm assuming you don't want to spend £225 on your own cable.

I've no idea what you're mechanical or electronics skill level is. If you're confident, you can remove the airbag and steering wheel buttons. Once they are out you can take them apart and check the microswitch under the button is in good condition and clean.

Obviously anything involving airbags can be potentially dangerous. Also make sure the car battery isn't connected when the airbag is removed otherwise you'll end up with the airbag fault light on. This will also need VCDS or similar to clear.

Based on your forum name, I'd say forget speaking in Roma language 😉 Try literary English.

As for the "short fuse" flaming, remember there are forum rules that are mandatory to obey. Even for gypsies.

Okay point taken, I have apologised.

Thanks and sorry again, dog is poorly but on the mend

As has been mentioned, it is against the Forum Rules to repeatedly ask the same question in multiple threads.

Now I've merged them together it may look slightly confusing though.

As I said sorry, I’m not that great with computers or I would have put it in one thread, can’t people forgive on this site.

Apologies if I gave the wrong impression but I didn't mean to.

You are formally forgiven. That okay? ;)
