1.6 TDI troubles

Featured Replies

Hi. Can anyone with vcds in the Derbyshire, Notts, or South York. Area help me please. A friends diagnostic is pointing to a faulty turbo actuator, but I've already replaced the complete turbo, so now I need to prove the fault for my guarantee, but the turbo won't activate whilst the car is stationary: hence I need vagcom to test it please.

whats the issue

I need to test the actuator while the car is stood still because it shouldn't be faulty as it's only been on the car 6 weeks and it has been working since I fitted it: something else keeps putting the car into limp mode thus preventing the turbo from working, and the diagnostics comes up with a different faulty sensor every new try.

Use a hand vacuum pump to actuate? If you mean to open and close the wastegate.

Thanks for your suggestion, but the problem has been solved: it was a break in a wire in the boost pressure sensor circuit.

Interesting. Close to the sensor or elsewhere?
