Driver door light reflectors

Recommended Posts

best tool I found to remove them when I was changing the bulbs was a credit card. Thin enough to get into the crevice, strong enough to get some leverage on it, but not hard so to dent the surrounding plastics

Might seem a silly question, but are these just reflectors in the doors or meant to light up?

my previous cars a Oct mk2 and Duperb mk2 lit up, but nothing on my Oct mk3 SE Business model. Although it is pretty darn basic post being spoilt with the Superb.

cheers

Might be model specific, in the VRS models they light up but have the usual low level filament lamps in them. There are other options like high power LEDs or dedicated units from superskoda with projectors in them

You will find that there is a version of it which lights up. ...same with my MK7 Golf...….which does not get a light, but the space/size is the same as the light in the Passat, & if you have the "highline" door controllers fitted its a simple two wire install job to the door controller in each door & re-programme each controller to tell it... it has "exit/warning lights" installed...
