Placed my order the last weekend in September and was told that my delivery date would be end of November. Called the dealer on Sat and he tells me that I been allocated a build date in December but can't say exactly when!! Anyone else experiencing the same problems? Was hoping to have it for christmas hols to put some miles on it, don't expect to see it until Jan 04 now earliest!

Looks like I'll have to keep pestering the dealer, but don't think its gonna do much good!!!

Delivery dates depend a lot on what extras you went for. Chances are that if you opt for no extras there may already be a car in the uk resulting in quicker delivery times.

If you want one quicker speak to the dealer and ask them to look on the computer to see whats available in the UK now. Some may have extras that need to be paid for though.

Thanks for the advice, I'll visit my dealer this week and see if there are any others available. Just sold the wifes car, and can't manage too long with just the one. She's not impressed going back onto public transport.

I'm quite surprised in a way because Fab16v managed to get his yellow vRS (with extras too...) quite quickly. The same has happened for others too. I don't know if this was down to "right place, right time" or not, but there's been some huge differences in people's waiting times for the new fabia vRS.

Not a problem I'm suffering with though. I'm getting mine courtesy of Jabba, and it's gonna look exactly the same as my current car.

So I will no longer be the only Yellow Furby vRS owner here then! :( Oh well. Good to have you on board. Hope you have many a happy time posting and reading through these boards.

O well. Just been on the phone to LloydsTSB. Looks like i wont be getting my car till May. This is going to be one long 6 months.

My Fabi RS is on Order since week 40. Phoned my Dealer today and he still says I will get it in week 50! I plan to go to Germany over Christmas and give it a good go on the old Autobahn ( no Speed limit )!!!

Should I start praying now or sit still and trust my Dealer????????????

Mine's built week 50 and I was told today to expect it end of Jan.

I was damned lucky.. Was anticpating a wait of 5 months, and stumbled across a dealer who had just had one delivered that day. So I bought it.

I must of been lucky to get my black Fabia vRS so quickly going by what you guys are saying. I went into the dealer two weeks ago for a look, they had a red one in the showroom, a silver demonstrator (which I had a go in) and a black one which had just been delivered and was waiting for it's new owner to collect.

The salesman said there could be a long wait to get one. The guy in front of me had just bought the red one I was sitting five minutes ago! I asked him if I could have the silver one but that wasn't happening.

After the test drive through I was hooked and had to have one so put the order in. I said I would take any colour as long as it wasn't yellow (yuk! - have had a yellow car before, never again!), though apparently yellow is the easiest to get hold off.

A couple of days later the salesman called to say the bloke that was due to collect the black one couldn't get finance and the car was mine if I wanted it......brill!! :p

Preston motors told me the other day that there are no more in the country until the middle of January so it looks like there will be a lot of eager faces around with their late christmas presents.

Sorry to add to your frustration but my black vRS with xenons was ordered 16 Sept and I picked it up a week past Saturday (15 Nov) However it wasnt even scheduled for build till week 46 - which would have equated to a skin of the teeth delivery for Christmas. Dealer has shown me the paperwork/computer record/order no's and my car was a factory order not a dealer swap and for some reason it was delivered early. They are as confused as the rest of us and can only suggest that it was put through quicker coz it was a factory order with xtras that were payed for.

Im jumping for joy though!!!

ps - anyone else's back suspension seem to make a creaking noise ONLY when its wet and cold? The car that is...

Hi all,

Spoke to the dealer yesterday and they said my Vrs is in the country at least! They expect delivery by the end of the week or early next week. So their December delivery prediction was spot-on.

Hope this does not make you all too envious!
