Lane assist surround

Featured Replies

So, I've a new dash cam but the mount is pants and similarly the actual camera is in my way compared to my old bullet styled camera.

My question is, the plastic housing for the lane assist (as in the bit directly behind the RV mirror), can this be easily removed?

The plan is to put two self tapping screws through the camera mount and into the housing so the dash cam can be fixed in place and out of my field of vision.

Should've just bought a nextbase lol

Thanks

I'd have a look to see if you're able to use something like a double sided sticky pad rather than screwing it into the plastic

I have, unfortunately it's a weird design on the suction cup and it's not holding with confidence.

Was just going to countersink two screws in. Ideally I'd do this with the plastic surround off or get it off at least to ensure there are no lane assist bits directly underneath. Hopefully it'll work, they'll be out the way so nobody will know they're there apart from me 🤭
