Does anyone know,  on 2014 Octavia vrs, is it the same control unit that runs both the headlights and the LED daylight running lights? 

 

Had a problem with the drivers side headlight last year & the dealership said it was the control unit.  Now have a problem with the LED lights on the same side and they've said it's the control unit. 

 

Is it the same one? 

My understanding is the LED strip itself has a dedicated control unit. Not sure what they mean by a control unit for the headlight, could be the AFS system, could be the ballast for the Xenon bulb, but I don't think it's the same unit.
