Decat Pipe & Air Intake for Superb 3.6 V6 2010

Featured Replies

Hi Fellow Members,

I am looking for a decat pipe and a Air intake system for my Superb 3.6 V6 2010.

I have been looking up online for a week now but couldn't find anything.

Some help on this would be appreciated.

Your car has a very good cold air intake from the factory: you will not improve on it with aftermarket parts.

Decat is illegal in most countries and easily detected during annual roadworthiness checks so I don't think there are too many aftermarket companies manufacturing kits to do it. Your best bet is to find someone who would cut the cat out and weld in a straight section in its place. You may also need a remap to avoid ecu errors.

I want an air intake system for the sound it gives when we floor the throttle. I know it won't improve performance. Factory airbox is has sound dampening.

You will almost certainly lose power with one of those kits, especially on a naturally aspirated engine. Plus they don't filter as well a lot of the time, so there's risk of internal engine damage too. Are you willing to accept that to get some more noise out of it?
