Hi from down under! Im 3 days into having an octavia mk3 wagon and i'm very pleasantly suprised how great this car is. I have had diesel's the past 10 years, my last being a 2015 Mitsubishi Triton GLX-r (L200) from new which i loved, but the fuel economy and ride comfort wasn't the best, especially after having a baby. After weeks, if not months of checking out reviews and specs, i made the leap to a 1.8tsi octavia wagon and im impressed. (Traded in the ute with some $$ my way, same year, same k's so im happy). It almost handles like my old 2008 2lt turbo diesel focus, and pulls like it too. The 250nm of torque is great low down. Such a comfortable and smooth ride, and its fuel economy's great on the hip pocket. The Mrs seems to love it too which is a plus.
