Intercoolers

Featured Replies

Hey everyone was wondering which induction kit people have gone for on there mk3 octavia vrs any ideas please ?

Are you looking for an intercooler or an induction kit?

I would guess at the latter, as someone looking for an intercooler would be at a stage of modification that they probably wouldn't confuse one with the other, whereas as an induction kit is almost a stereotypical 'my first modification'

As for induction kits, popular options include...

RacingLine R600

RamAir open cone

Revo open cone

You'll find varying opinion on whether it's worth also upgrading turbo inlet and turbo muffler delete at the same time.

Went for Airtec induction kit with a foam cone air filter and red hose (they do a wide choice of colours). Not wanting a mix and match in the engine bay also had an Airtec intercooler fitted (well respected by Ford RS owners).

The stock airbox flows really well, if you're after better airflow at low cost get a drop in cotton or foam air filter and a forge inlet hose and turbo elbow. If you're after the good looks and sound as well the forge carbon airbox is pretty nice.

get one of these...
