windscreen

Featured Replies

I have just purchased a Skoda Fabia 1 HTP 60 (2007 new spec) 1.2

I am very happy with this car, however it loos as though the old window wipers have scrubbed a swathe of minute scratches across their path.

It doesn't really obscure my view especially if I raise the driver's chair.

My question is: is there anyway of rectifying the screen other than replacing the windscreen?

No, not really

Sorry no.

If the scratches are fine (as not too deep) you might be able to polish them out or reduce them with a paste made up with "Jewellers Rouge" and water

You must be kidding.

Just pay the insurance excess, usually £75, and have it replaced.

Life is too short, unless the Fabia 1 windscreen is made of unobtainium and priced accordingly.

Many thanks, will go for the excess payment: hadn't realise that I could go down that route for scratches.
