Fab VRs - Recurring brake problem

Featured Replies

I few months ago i posted about a squeaking noise that i noticed emanating from the trusty Furby. After a couple of visits to the dealers it was diagnosed as a "stripped" brake pad.

The engineer said it was probably a manufacturing defect so it was replaced under warranty.

This cured the squeak for a few months until YESTERDAY!

Yes, i fear it's back again. Presumably it's on the same wheel as before, the cars done 6,000 miles since the last pad change so my question is, what could be causing my pad to get "stripped"?

P.S The pad that was replaced before was shown to me by dealer and it's all worn down and bobbly, even though it was only 6 months old!

Any ideas good Briskoda buddies?

By the way, it's a rear brake pad if this helps!

Sticky rear caliper? Is it only on one side or on both sides?

Chris

It's just on one side.
