Weird alarm behavior

Featured Replies

Hey all,

today after about 3 weeks of being started I went to unlock the car. However when I pressed the unlock button the alarm proceeded to go on for about 15 seconds and of for about 5 and kept repeating like this.

The front doors also remained locked but the rear doors unlocked.

the only way I could get the alarm to turn off was by locking the car.

does anybody have any idea why this may be?

i had suspicions it may be a flat battery but I would of thought there would be something to prevent this from happening

thanks

Jake

Another thing to add that I remembered was that we tried to turn on the car while the alarm was going off. The ignition lights did come on but the car wouldn't turn over.

Any more facts/update, did you or anyone else check the battery voltage to make sure that a heavily discharged/faulty battery was not to blame?
