Album Art on Swing Radio???

Featured Replies

The mrs has got her new 2019 Fabia Colour Edition with the Swing Plus HU. She had some CDs which weren't available on streaming services so I ripped them and put them on an SD card.

The MP3s all had album art embedded but none of the MP3s show any album art on the HU.... Just a picture of an SD card.... I also tried putting album art (ranging in size from 500x500 down to 300x300) in the album folder but still nothing.

Is this just something the Swing Plus is unable to do? Or am I missing something?

The MP3s were ripped using iTunes on a Windows 7 PC.

Mine does the same, although mine are ripped with Media player which shows artwork and track listings

but not on the car player

I've finally managed to sort it......

Looks like the Swing doesn't like the way iTunes rips the files and embeds the album art so I used a separate bit of software to embed the album art and they now all show up ok.

Anyone struggling with this I used a prog called bliss which finds artwork and makes it small enough to work, then just copt it (or drag and drop) into your files on the sd card.

Just for info, Sony CDs don't show any artwork or track numbers.

for anyone that's interested, the swing radio needs the artwork embedded in the actual audio files, unlike the previous Bolero Radio that played and displayed everything without messing about !

I use a piece of free software called  StampID3 Tag Editor which solves the problem of displaying artwork by allowing you to embed it into the file
