shes a suvivor!:o

Not 100% sure I'd want it back if originally written off, if for no other reason than the depreciation it will have suffered come sale time.

good comment. i was told that if they find more damage when the are in the repairin stage they will re-asses and let me know. i couldnt get the bonnet up to show a fracture through the left wing.

Personally I would take the money and get a new one as opposed to getting it repaired, they never drive quite the same afterwards in my view having had a few incidents myself.

They allways seem to miss something too, if your car is repaired then check it over with a fine tooth comb, especially in hidden areas.

Anyway why is it at a vauxhall dealer? They can't fix vauxhalls in my experiance let alone a 'performance' car from another manufacturer. Surely a specialist repairer would be a 'Skoda' specialist?

I dont think I would want a once badly bent car back. I would never feel the same about it, and never trust it properly.

i think its cos vauxhaul are the main repairers for my insurance company. skoda is not.

See if you can bend the corsa that you are driving atm, see if they fix that ok, and if they do, Bobs your uncle !:D

On a fairly new car I think I would be demanding that the car goes to a Skoda garage for assesment and repair.

It shouldn't matter who the "approved repairer" is for your insurance company. You should be able to choose - it's your car, after all.

As for not wanting back a repaired car that's been badly damaged - I'd agree on that one. I had a Discovery a few years ago that got minor frontal damage (muppet reversed into me) and it was never quite the same.

Cheers

Ben
