Skoda Felicia 1995 mono-motronic,revs rising and falling at idle

Featured Replies

I have a 1995 Skoda Felicia 1.3 mono-motronic  and I have  trouble, the engine starts fine and then runs alright , after car warmed up it start revving high at idle for minites, also the same situation when driving at first gear at very slow speed, and engine needs to stop and smile more gasoline  however,  if engine stopped it difficult to start again  .

I changed the upper  injection unit complete  (including throttle, TPS sensor ,injector, , idle motor , ...etc ) and still problem not solved .

Any help or thoughts much appreciated

thanks,

After cleaning or replacing the throttle body, an adaptation (erasing learned values of the ECU) is needed. You have to use a VAG-COM interface. As a mandatory prerequisite you need to read error code and erase them if any. The adaptation doesn't work if errors are present.

This is the best I can advice based on your description. As usual when somebody reports an issue, you didn't tell us how the problem started, if you suspect any prior event, and what did you do to diagnose the problem. Changing parts blindly can do any garage mechanic.

To me that sounds like an ecu issue. Though it could be problematic sensors.

Start with an adaptation and we will guide you further.

thanks for your attention, problem started like as in told , and  did not find the equitable fault reader ( it is OBD i ) with any workshop around me, one mechanic advised me to change throttle body with its sensors  , but problem still

there is another way to erase error without this interface

Because "throw money at the problem" is such a good diagnostic technique. You do know that now, right?

You will need a kkl vag com usb cable and vcds.

Someone here should be more proficient than me in guiding you further with the adaptation process.
