Hi all,

 

Having some noise from behind the glove box on by 14 plate Superb. Having done some reading seems like it it the air recirculation flap motor. It started a while back after really stormy weather. 

 

Does anyone know how to access this to check it / replace it?

Thanks Big Dave, took an hour on it this morning. After glove box comes out you can remove the top bolt holding the recirc motor. A bit of jiggling later and it came out, you have to lift it over a catch on the bottom bolt. The back bolt plastic was already broken.  You have to set it all so recirc flap is open (not circulating) and motor in same position before disconnecting. Then motor case was split open and gears in the wrong place. Realign gears so the flat bit on the splined pinion is in the right place and tape gear case firmly close. Reinstall and noise gone. Thanks for your help!

Think I have same issue on my Kodiaq. Don't suppose you took photos of the work you did @iamesosteam?
