Off throttle jerking

G'day all 

                 Asked this question before but I don't think I explained properly.My 2014 manual 1.4 litre estate has developed a very slight jerk or shudder.Never while accelerating.Seems to happen after coming off throttle.Sometimes coasting.

Mine does this at very low speeds if I'm in gear and slowing down prior to stopping. I press the clutch and/or put gearbox into neutral if it irritates. In the olden days it was called "drive line shunt". 

Not a problem for me.

Check the bottom gearbox mounting (looks like a dogs bone)

Also is it manual or DSG gearbox?

Jerking got worse to the point of booking it to be looked at.Went for run with the mechanic,who quite quickly pronounced a clutch on the way out.OK.Five minutes after leaving the dealership I had a engine check light (first ever) Took it straight back and left it there for most of the day.Text to say car was repaired.When I got back was told vaguely there was some sort of fuel mixture fault and all fault codes were reset.Car seems better but not 100%.What gives ?

Solved,I think . Broken spark plug. (overtightened ?) Keep you posted.

No,car didn't improve.Lost all faith in dealer.Took car to German car specialist who diagnosed faulty Map sensor(s).Waiting on parts now.keep you informed.

Cool to hear that, will see after few days of driving and aftr some distance. If you could inform us in a week or twoit would be great. Can you check OEM number of you new MAP?

Given that the symptoms deteriorated, you'd have imagined that the operating parameters fell outside those required to trigger and engine management light, or at least log and store a fault code.

 

For a franchised Skoda retailer to fail to properly diagnose the issue is pretty poor. I hope when you get this resolved you're able let Skoda AU aware of the failing of one of their retailers.

Yeah,wasn't overly impressed.

EML light back on.take car back to specialist. p2188 code again.They spent all morning checking everything.No luck.They will need to research further,I am losing hope.

Contacted Skoda Australia.Car booked in with original dealer (not ideal but was advised not to drive too far with EML) on.Dealer tends to think it is the accelerator position sensor (s).Pedal ordered.Shall see.

Well it's been 8 months,the worlds gone to **** and I still can't get this bloody car fixed.About 2 months ago EML came back on and jerking (miss) got worse.This time with erratic idle.Took it to (another) highly recommended Skoda specialist.Lots of head scratching,lots of parts replaced,lots of money gone.He suggested I take it back to Skoda Australia.So I did.Sat around all day while they looked at it.Result-please leave it with us for a few days so we can look at it again.Enough,I've already spent more than the car is probably worth.So I'm driving around with the top O2 sensor disconnected (only way it runs reasonably well)This of course means EML .I worry what damage this is doing.Not happy.

Sounds like you have a leak in a vac pipe somewhere as that can lead to running issues.

It also can be leaking injectors or exhaust system/lambda sensor.

Skoda should be able to see what values are being given running it on their diagnostics. However the people operating the diagnostic machines are normally trained monkeys.

Cars been smoke tested twice,both o2 sensors replaced.Looking like injectors but everybody here seems scared of touching them.I'm over this car

The injectors should be easy to remove for a garage. It might even be something simple as a new injector seal needed.

You'd think so.Trouble is it means another double whammy-lost earnings and repair bills. I've already sunk more into the car than it's worth!
