Skoda Superb electrical issues

Featured Replies

Good Day Everyone,

I am new to this forum, so please forgive my ignorance on procedures of the forum.

I own a 2011 Skoda Superb 2.0 140hp Auto elegance.

I bought it second hand in 2017, since then i have experienced numerous electrical issues.

The 1st issue i noticed is that a few of the LED lights are out on the dash (back-light for the speedometer and rev-meter)

At the same time I noticed that the AUX port also not working.

Shortly after that (couple of months) I noticed that the buttons on the steering wheel would stop working intermittently.

Next the driver side windows stopped working, then the locking system.

I got the windows and locking fixed (wiring loom at driver side door), this also resolved the steering wheel electrical issues.

Next the front fog light went, repaired that, then the back brake light went, fixed that, now reverse light went.

Now a couple of days ago the engine light came on, got computer plugged in which states P0121(throttle/pedal sensor "A" circuit range/performance)

All these issues occurred in about a 1 year time period

I have been told that VW are known to have many electrical issues,

Does anyone know if these issues are likely to be related or is it just bad luck?

Any help would be much apprieciated

I dont think any worse than any other car it is a 8 yr old car😎

Problems not related

Regarding P0121 its a another common error
look here to do the Mod to stop it happening again
And this post shows you what to clean on  P0121

It might just be your having a BAD year

Hi Del80y,

Thanks for the reply.

I was hoping that this is just wear and tear, but after reading about a lot of electrical issues and water ingress online,

I thought I would be better asking people more knowledgeable than myself who aren't trying to sell me something.

thanks for the links as I could have spent a long time reading and still not know what i was looking for.

I will read the links you gave me and hopefully will resolve the issue.

Thanks for taking the time to reply to me
