About one in a hundred times the engine stops when I come to a halt but fails to start automatically when I depress the clutch. I get a message saying "start the engine manually".This normally happens when stationary at traffic lights. At all other times the system works fine. Has anyone else had this problem?

A few times when I have unknowingly stalled it - owing to the lack of torque the thing just died on me in 2nd or higher if I dip the clutch too late.

I've only had that problem after opening the driver's door, my guess is there is a sensor thinking the driver was about to get out.
