New 2.0 TDI 150PS Engine

Featured Replies

The new 2.0 TDI 150PS engine can be ordered from today.  I've been patiently waiting for its release so that I can replace my April 2016 L&K 2.0 TDI 150PS estate with the same again.  However, guess what, that combination cannot now be specified as per the new Pricing & Specification document dated today.  I'm very, very disappointed!

new Pricing & Specification document dated today where can this be found, the PDF on their web site still refers to July??

The website was updated this afternoon, after I had posted.  My dealer had sent me a copy of the updated document this morning.

i could be wrong but i dont think  the new 150 tdi will come with active cylinder technology, at least not  initially.

it will eventually have it though as the same engine in the vw arteon will shortly have it

so maybe better to wait anyway, and you never know it might appear in the l & k   😎

Thank you for your thoughts but I've now calculated that I don't really need a diesel given the mileage I do in my Superb.  However, for me an L&K trumps all other trims so as I want to place an order now it's down to a more powerful, less economical & more costly petrol or diesel.  The  2.0 TSI 190PS DSG comes in over £1,500 cheaper than the 2.0 TDI 190PS DSG SCR so I'll probably go for that, even though I don't really need that amount of power.  Now I'm annoyed because I could have placed an order a couple of months ago had I known then what I know now.

Ah but if you then what you know now you might have chosen different numbers on the Lottery and not been too bothered about what car you would choose.:D

@310golfr   Did VW develop a TDI with Active Cylinder Technology (Cylinder deactivation) ?
