  1. I picked up my Mk4 on Saturday and it too has the 'hole'. I agree, it's a bit short-sighted not to provide a closure when a tow bar is not fitted. Surely it's not an expensive job to design and produce a simple plastic moulding.
  2. When I had my Mk3 Superb I nearly drained its battery sitting in the car playing with the settings. This time, with my new Mk4, I'm being more cautious even though there are far more features and settings to get used to. I have had no battery issues so far, but it's early days for me as I only picked the car up on Saturday.
  3. Yes, it's strange that options vary from country to country. I guess that in their research Škoda establishes which options are likely to appeal, and therefore sell, on a country by country basis.
  4. Yes, it's my car telling me the actual tyre pressures rather than the app because it has the active TPMS option which I specified when I placed my order.
  5. I moved my brand new Mk4 Superb off my drive, out of my close and around the block this morning to park it on my estate's ring road. We were having roofing work done today so didn't want get any damage from flying debris. My car was visible from the house all day. When I first started it there were a host of error messages, including slightly low pressure in one tyre, but I didn't get around to checking them as I was busy. When I moved my car back this afternoon all of the error messages had gone. I put them down to early morning condensation on the sensors/cameras. All of the errors had also cleared on the MyŠkoda app although the tyre pressure warning took a little longer to clear. The car was reporting one tyre down at 2.5 bar whereas the others were correct at 2.6 bar. When I last checked the car all four tyres were showing 2.6 bar.
  6. I'm picking up this beauty on Saturday morning.
  7. Unfortunately, as per the MyŠkoda app notes, the production & tracking facility is not yet available in Great Britain although it is in Finland. The app notes are somewhat inconsistent as regards the facility being available in Great Britain and I've tried it with my new Superb but to no avail. I have though managed set up my new car with its VIN but I need to actually be physically in the car to fully set it up in the app. It currently shows a partial (correct) graphic of the car. I learned today that my new Superb was delivered to my dealer today and I've arranged to pick it up on Saturday morning.

  9. I'm still awaiting my Mk4 - it's built and I believe it is now in this country, but my current Mk3 certainly does.
  10. Thank you very much for a great post, very useful. My current Superb is the same as your old one except it's a Mk3 facelift. I have the same Mk4 Superb on order as yours, which was ordered on 14th March, the day orders opened. The estimated build week is the 2nd week in July meaning I'm unlikely to get the car until September unfortunately.
  11. The on the road price for my forthcoming car has been reduced to £48,740. This is because it's now been placed in the next lower VED band, so £680 for the first tax payment instead of £1,040 (pre 1st April 2024 rate).
  12. My dealers now have their first Superb Mk4. It's not in the showroom yet or registered for road use but they gave me a sneak preview. It will be registered later this month and then be available as a demo.
  13. I saw my first Superb MK4 at my dealer today, not mine unfortunately. It's not in the showroom yet or registered and will not be on the road as a demo until their Big Launch Event later this month. The USB-C socket is located on the RH side of the overhead console, so it's the wrong side for a dashcam. It seems that Škoda didn't tool up to locate the USB-C socket on the LH side of the overhead console, unlike the handbrake which is on the LH side of the centre console in LH drive cars and on the RH side in RH drive cars.
  14. I heard today that my car has an estimated build date of the second week of July. That's disappointing given it was ordered on the first day it was possible to place an order (14th March). I only say that because I know philsmith ordered his new Superb on the same day as me, and he picked his car up on Monday of this week. Of course, there could be 101 reasons why my car should be behind his, one of which could be it's a different build configuration. It's looking as though it might be a September pick-up for me now.
  15. Great for you. Do enjoy your trip to Bordeaux in style. What side of the overhead console is the USB-C socket located, please?
