Unable to access Security Access using 31347

Featured Replies

Hi ,

I was Trying to access in Central Electronics 09 Security Access 16 using 31347 and it is invalid, tried multiple times with no luck. I've got Superb II 2015.

Does somebody know what could it be the right code please?

Thank You !

What are you trying to do and did you try hovering over the input box so the tooltip comes up?

To " @Tedandmyska " - Nobody knows this security code. I Hope - just for now 😞 If you try wrong code few time, there is a chance the controler to get blocked for some minutes or hours..

langers2k thanks for reply, I'm not getting anything when hovering mouse around or near the little window, I was hoping to enable the second rear fog light . I can access Adaptation in central electronics (see the picture ) but the adaptation for rear lights is not listed there 😞 . I read somewhere else that somebody had the same issue. Is there any way how to find out the code, plese Anybody ??

VCDS probably can't enable the second fog light on your car I'm afraid...

Take a look at byte 18 of the BCM coding. If it's 00 then stop! This means that none of the default light configurations are correct for your vehicle. If you start messing with byte 18, there is a good chance you'll not be able to restore the stock/existing light behaviour.

Instead, you would need to use something like VCP or ODIS-e and create a backup of the section from the BCM EEPROM containing the light configuration. This means you'll always be able to get back to the original configuration if something goes wrong. Once you've done this, it's a super simple change to enable the second fog lamp.

I'm not sure if you have halogen or LED tail lights. At least for the LED version, I don't think the fog lamp is fitted to both sides as default so you'd also need to replace one of the light clusters. Worth checking before you try and get it activated.

shame there isn't a directory of VCP or ODIS-e owners like there is for vcds..

I would like to back up byte 18 on mine just in case! (without driving across country lol )

There is a directory for VCP: https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/262215-list-of-vcds-owners-previously-known-as-vag-com-vcp-owners/

The per month licensing for ODIS make it far too expensive for non-professional use. If someone has it, it's likely to be a cloned/pirated interface so given the forum rules, it's unlikely many folk would make it on to an approved list ;)

If you do completely mess it up, a dealer can restore it.

Otherwise, if you find someone that's comfortable/knowledgeable with light config tweaks, they *should* be able to generate something that's close enough to stock that everything works correctly. I've successfully helped a few people remotely when they've managed to find someone with the right tools who is not familiar with editing light configurations.

I thought vcp was different to vcds but your link is for vcds which I have so is that another name for vcds?

I cant back up byte 18 with it can I?

VCP and VCDS are very different but that list contains both 😉

VCP can backup the light configuration, VCDS can't...

wish I had known that when I purchased vcds. is vcp a lot more?

if you say its less I will cry!

They are comparible in price but I'd say VCDS is better supported and easier to use for most things.

If I had both, 9/10 times I'd probably use VCDS. It's only for more unusual stuff like light configuration changes or module flashing/parameterising where VCP is useful in my opinion.
