To sell or not to sell, that is the Question.

Featured Replies

I've owned my Roomster Scout from new, so i know every thing about this car.

The things i've done to the car, like fitting leather seats, honeycomb grill, etc, its things like this that put your stamp on personalizing the car to your likes.

I don't really want to sell the Roomster, but as people know, circumstances change in life so i am considering selling.

So the question, to sell or not to sell is, i would prefer to sell the Roomster to an enthusiast who would appreciate the car, or, do i just have to let it go, its just a car ?

Things change, no point in keeping it if you not going to use it

However much you love it, to someone else it is only a used car, no roomster is going to been seen as a classic (maybe in 10 years time)

Just this week thought about selling a car we no longer needed, it needed servicing, 2 tyres, a full valet - so say £400 total.

Drove to the garage to book the service but offered them the car first. They bought it on the spot, saving me the ongoing

expense and the possible hassle of a private sale. So easy.

Just sell it, it's only steel and plastic after all.

Roomster Scout may well be only steel and plastic, and it will probably never be a classic.

But for me it was the best car I have owned in fifty years of motoring.

I still regret selling mine and I'm sure @Jonny5ive will be along soon to say the same thing.

But yes, circumstances change in life and we have to let go.

Right on cue...

I regret selling mine for the simple fact that I didn't feel I'd enjoyed it enough. It hadn't been running at 215bhp for very long and I wish I'd done more track days in it.

Circumstances change, mine changed rapidly last monday morning. 😥

In my experience, if you're not sure, do nothing. Something will influence your decision sooner or later.

Ouch!  I hope no-one was hurt.

I have to agree with you - if in doubt, do nowt.  In my case, the return of an old knee injury necessitated the sale of my Scout for something with DSG.

Hopefully nothing significant, but I've been stiff as a board for week now.

Thats not good Barrie, is it a write off?

To sell or not to sell, has been sorted. Its staying in the family, I'm giving it to my son and his wife, and my grandson.

Lucky son / wife / grandson!

What are you replacing your Roomster with?
