where is the bluetooth module

Featured Replies

I have just changed from BT to Vodafone and I now have bluetooth connection issues again, sometimes the phone refuses to answer when either connected to the car or through android .

auto

Is there a bluetooth module in line somewhere or is it built into the head unit of the car or the box in the glove box, need to know so i can try and get another

On a MK3 Octavia, it should be built into the headunit that lives in the glove box. No idea if it's replaceable or not 😕

When you say you have changed from BT to Vodafone is it the same phone? The provider shouldn't really make any difference.

This  is what  happens  when  the  bluetooth goes the error  message,  plus  the  phone  icon  is nowhere to be seen

The box in the glovebox is the headunit.  The bit in the dash is just a screen.  I don't really understand your problem but I would suggest the issue is either coding or hardware related.  Try rebooting the unit by holding the power button down.

Basically one min you can answer incoming calls, then the next call won't answer and the whats in the photos happens

Yes - I had exactly this issue. One time Bluetooth works, the next “Telephone not available”...

Holding down both buttons on the headunit for about 10s (until screen goes black and it reboots) fixes it - but 4 times in one day was too much.

i didn’t think it was my phone, as other phones gave the same issue (or once it was down they couldn’t find other phones either)...

Eventually I did “forget” the connection, turned my phone off and on again, reconnected and touch wood it hasn’t happened since ... it did go to the dealer yesterday and no fault found.

@skippy41 As you had two threads running regarding the same issue, I've now merged them together.

Reboot did the trick , worked all weekend without a dropped call, even calls waiting 👏
