tyre choice

Featured Replies

having moved back to the UK and needing new tyres in the near future I an thinking of Michelin Cross Climate fot my Octavia estate 1.6 tdi, any views, opinions and advice welcome

Had 4 fitted to mine last April, best tyre I've ever run on (Hankook, Avon, Uniroyal, Goodyear are other brands I've used over the last 5+ years).

Decent handling in the wet & dry plus much more assured when it gets cold.  Not driven in the snow with them yet but I've no doubt they'll be fine :)

I have them, just 1 month, but very good in the recent rain, and deep water, can't comment on the snow yet though....

my opinion, winter tyres for winter and summer tyres for summer. You can't get a perfect tyre that does both.

I run goodyear F1 eagle asymetric 3 on summer and vredestein wintrac extrem s  in the winter (on a set of extra rims)

Actually for the UK you can get pretty perfect if where you are driving is an area that might get very little snow and not much in the way of very cold weather from now to April.

All Season / All Weathers on all year might be all you need.

If roads are bad there are those that might not drive.

Or go by public transport / get home deliveries from online orders by light commercial vans fitted with Summer tyres or All Season tyre.

For Winter Tyres / Wheels.

Briskoda For Sale section is a good place to look for members selling sets.
