Has anybody tried Vredestein Quatrac Pro all season tyres?

Featured Replies

Has anybody tried Vredestein Quatrac Pro all season tyres? The 215/50/r18 tyres required for the Karoq SE-L 18” Braga wheels are not very standard, and there aren’t any Michelin CrossClimate tyres available in this size. The only all season tyres I could find in this size from a premium tyre manufacturer are the Vredestein Quatrac Pro tyres. They are apparently very new (only released this year). But they apparently replace Vredestein’s Quatrac 5 model for sizes 17” and up, and the Quatrac 5 already seemed to be fairly decent.
Any advice is welcome!

Would be interested in hearing opinions also.

Considering these for my Kodiaq 235/45r20 if I can find anyone who stocks them.

Based on the quatrac 3's and 5's I have used in the past I would expect to hear they are pretty good.

Yes! Just fitted these on my 1.5tsi 4x4 Karoq Scout. Only driven about 250km on them so far and mostly on very wet roads at about 8 Degrees C. Was after all season tyres to replace the summer ones that came with the car which I got in Apr 19. In 225/45 19 size there were about 3 different types avail at the local tyre place: Vredestein Quatrac Pro, Falken Euro All Seasons or Maxxis AP2.

The Quatrac came in at 190 Euro each and I was reasonably happy with that.

Had all season tyres on my previous car (Superb TDi 4x4 Elegance). They were great and much more convenient than having to swap over from summer to winter tyres (it’s the law here). Couldn’t tell the difference in them driving in Croatia and Southern Italy in the summer and in the winter I have never had a drama with them. Where we live it is sub zero from Dec to Mar and the snow can get quite deep. Had over a metre of snow in the garden in Jan 19!! Never got stuck in the snow with them on yet and that has been driving to ski resorts in Austria and Germany on white snow compacted roads.

Having read reviews of the Quatrac Pro I hope they will perform as well as the Bridgestone Weathercontrol I had on my Superb.

Hope that helps out....

Incidentally if anyone wants to buy 4 x part used (8k Km) Bridgestones (300 Euros) that came with the car then get in touch if you are in the Southern Germany area or can arrange collection.

Thanks Rupertthebear for your feedback.  I decided to go ahead and order these Vredestein Quatrac Pro tyres for my Karoq 1.5 SE-L, which has 18" wheels and 215/50/R18 tyres.  The cheapest place I found here in the UK was Oponeo at £124, but by the time I got round to ordering them, they had gone up to £149!  So I've now ordered a set from Tyre Leader, where they were £133 each.  I'll see how they perform over the coming winter.

I had 215/50/R18 Vredestein all season Quatrac Pro tyres fitted to my wife's Karoq SE-L last weekend, just in time for the upcoming spell of cold weather.  The garage which fitted them hadn't seen this model of tyre before.  But he said that compared to the Michelin CrossClimates, one advantage is that they are not directional, so I'll be able to put one on a spare wheel which can then be used on either side of the car.

Fitted 225/45 r19's 2 days ago, will let you now when I've done a few miles.

After paying £133 each for the 4 which I initially bought, I then went ahead and bought another one as a spare. But this time I was able to get it for £108 (plus £10 carriage) from a company called Camskills. Just thought I’d let you know, in case any of you are shopping around for some. Mine are 215/50/R18, for a Karoq SE-L.
