Kodiaq RS drivetrain

Featured Replies

how are owners finding it ?

my observations : so-so around town . a beast when overtaking uphill on the motorway .

lack of pedal / thrust linearity . first few cm quite soggy, then there's a sudden great gob of surge when the second turbo kicks in and DSG downshifts concurrently

i came from a 250 Nm Superb, and am surprised that the 500 Nm Kodiaq seems to require the same level of downshifting to provide a given amount of acceleration

wish it was more perky in the 0-50kmh range

Switch to Sport mode with gear lever (or through drive mode selection), response gets better.

Or use VCDS to activate Direct Acceleration. Throttle pedal gets really sensitive. Too sensitive for me though.

How many miles done? It wakes up after 20 - 30 000 km. But I felt it was still lacking the last bit.

So I remapped it to 215 kW / 590 Nm and now the RS is perfect.

gear lever Sport mode : does it sensitise throttle input , or only DSG shift points ?

VCDS for Direct Acceleration : warranty breaker ?
