2 years dry and fine, then 2 years of wet problems, with door open warning light...

Featured Replies

Door open light comes on intermittently but more so when driving in wet weather. will flash and ding several times in a row then disappear and come back for no apparent reason.

Keep tripping the car alarm after locking with key fob. can usually get it to lock but not arm with key in door.

Boot wiring came up as a problem. Checked boot found broken wire fixed. was wiper related without wiper problems.

Door to chassis:

Chassis side looks like one wire has been chaffing, taped up temporarily but problem persists.

The main plug from chassis to door had green mank around the 2 bottom terminals, cleaned with contact cleaner. will investigate further.

2 wires cracked but not broken in this loom area.

Got the door card off atm, everything plugged in.

With all doors shut, light is on. unplug window motor plug, light goes off. windows are working with a new gen switch (i broke the other one)

Read somewhere there was a link between this problem and the window motor earth point??? cant find it now.

Have haynes but wiring diagram is chocolate fireguard.

Any ideas? 2007 roomster 3

To close this thread, I have repaired some broken or cracked wiring between the door and A post. Fitted a replacement "Window winder motor(used)".

The car locks on the keyfob. Warning lights have gone.

I'm not saying anymore in case of jinx rule.
