Today on a journey my cruise control would not work. When I stop to go to open the boot I noticed that both tail lights and middle high level led were stuck permanently lit up . Now  a warning light has popped up saying ecp. It is a 2018 Octavia 1.4 tsi dsg with 26 k on the clock . Any ideas on how to fix the issue. I’m a taxi driver so it is more cost effective for me to fix and get back on the road rather than wait to book in to dealership etc

Quite likely to be your brake light switch - simple and quick warranty job.

As Gaz says likely the switch. Not done one on an Octavia but it’s likely on the top of the brake pedal.
