Driving down motorway at 70 mph, inside lane (of course! :) ) and the word BRAKE in red flashed up on the screen in front of me. Any idea why?  I occasionally get the symbol (for no apparent reason) that I think indicates I'm about to hit something - even though there is nothing in front of me - but this was a new one!

i think most have these from time to time... Could have been a leaf or just something that threw the sensor.

You must be stuck in driving test examiner mode - it's the equivalent of banging a clipboard on the dash.  Listen out for instructions to undertake a parallel park, take the third turning on the left or identify a series of road signs.

(Showing my age a bit there. When I were a lad the theory part of the test was a flipbook of road signs at the end of the test.)
