will my wheels fit?

Featured Replies

I have a mk 2 1.9 pd and am thinking of changing to a tsi, 1.4 or 2.0 (put off the 1.5 due to the kangarooing issues) I have a set of winter wheels for the mk 2, will they fit the mk 3 ok? thanks in advance

Quick answer is no they won't fit as the PCD (layman's terms= stud pattern spacing) is different on the MK3

Lets hope they  keep the MK3 and MK4 The same, save me buying new spare wheel.

Do not think the stud pattern changed between the MK2 and MK3.  I had 17inch winter wheels for my MK2 PD140 (2ltr) Octavia and they fitted my MK7 Golf GTi and R so yours should be fine.

Mk2 is still 5x112 so if they are large enough they should fit. I’m sure the 2.0 models have 312mm front brakes so you’ll need 16’s at least. The 1.4 has 288mm brakes from memory so 15’s would be fine.
