Which option is it in VCDS for large mph display?

Thanks

I believe it was control modules then instruments to change the country code to Australia

I tried this and the digital speedo was still in km/h, and the odometer also changed to kilometres

You have to change the units in MFD to miles

OK I did this too, the mpg and odometer are now in miles but the digital speed display is still in km/h. There are no settings to change it from what I can see

Thanks I figured it out, I assumed the "alternate speed display" would show MPH after changing the country setting to Australia. But actually I had to uncheck that setting and enable the Digital Speed in MFD data. Works beautifully now!

Correct, the alternative is the KPH display. 👍
