Quick one peeps.

Bit of background - me and my folks both bought new Fabia colours and picked up in  March. Mine is a TSi and folks MPi.

My folks havent been able to get ANY iphone to work with apple play - i managed to get it to work once on mums iPhone x with

genuine cables etc - but not again.

So fast forward to yestrday car booked in Skoda calla nd says it works with a Samsung but not an apple - they even tried the salesmans

infront of my Dad.

They they told him that his model doesnt have apple play!

Has anyone had an issues with iphones not working - im an android user so cant really help them too much - do i need to dload any software

on the phone.

So far ive printed out 3 sets of specs from Skoda showing that the Colour etd comes with Smartlink + and im off to pay them a visit on

saturday - hopefully at peak time!!!

Thanks

A

Get a screen shot of the model and software version. There is a thread on getting updated software called “ I need Bolero update”.

Is that the car or the phone that doesn't have apple play?

Both need it!

Thanks all.

Software is the same on my car which works, but then doesn't on his.

They are saying his mpi colour doesn't have Apple play however as the screen shot of his software shows it does.

Thanks

Will his iphone connect to your car using an apple cable?

Does the logo come up on the smartlink page on the bolero screen?

Is the bluetooth on?

Thanks AG Falco

The Apple Carplay logo is not showing, it is missing! Software fault?

Mirrorlink is NOT the logo you need.

Look here:-

It must be a software fault.on head unit or maybe a usb socket fault.

Does your Android phone connect to his car?

Best of luck at the dealer.

Thanks AG falco

If you have VCDS (or any other diagnostic tool, e.g. VCD, ODIS, OBD Eleven) then in 5F find adaptation channel with word "Apple", (typically: "ENG109862-ENG130249-Vehicle_configuration-Apple_DIO") and change it to "ON". This should make CarPlay visible in SmartLink start screen. If there is a license for CarPlay installed and you have USB that supports CarPlay then it should solve your problem.

Thanks for this, i dont currenlty have any of these.

I dont mind buying a carista and using the free week, but dont want to spend loads when i would expect the dealer to do this for us?

Thanks Pab

That's bull. It's on the spec list, it needs to be there. It's that simple. It's as if they'd left off the MFSW or something, it's a 'miss-build'.
