Thats a 34 B. You'll need a 36D for the Fabia due to the extra torque

I tried SWMBOS but it was too big :(

Try 3M (people that make post-it notes)

They make a clear stick-on bra which is hardly noticable once applied. Its a bit like a huge piece of clear plastic with an adhesive backing, shaped to fit the particular make/model of car.

Oh God - the Canadian/American phenomenon is spreading!

What on earth do you want that on your car for? Stop stone chips?

NO, he just likes the contrast!

An easy on easy off solution for motorway driving might be good, but better still a clear on you dont have to worry bout

just seems like glorified vinyl to me tho

Scott

If anyone does find somewhere that makes these for the Fabia, please let me know, as I've been after one since I bought the car.

As this is an American thing & they don't sell Skoda's in the States, it'll be highly unlikely that there will be one available for the Fabia.

Could be wrong though.........................

One of my friends wives makes custom bike covers and various "skins" for automotive stuff from lycra, vinyl etc.

I could ask if there was a possiblity of such a thing being made, she is based in Nottingham so if she could do it, someone local would have to go get "measured" up as I will have my octy by then :)

Sounds like a plan Fluff! I'd be up for having mine measured up!

Also, they are not just a North American thing, I've seen tonnes of Euro cars sporting vinyl/leather bra's too! They really are useful if you want to keep the front of your car bug and stonechip free on the way to a show.

As a Canadian, had one on my Ford Escort over there....main reason....so many flies!!! Especially in the warm summer evenings....thick as a snowstorm, and they get in everywhere.

I will ask Lorraine, and see what she can do mate, I will hopefully get back on this before the end of the week, Maggit (odd name) her other half has had her make Lycra ones for his Grinnal Scorpion 3 and his tvr griffith and they look ok.

think i'd rather have stonechips and save the money for a bonnet respray...!

You do that then....I take it you dont know if one is availiable then ?? :D;)

Don't use a fabric car bra, dust gets under it and you get rub marks at the edges, also the paint is affected differently by the sunlight A clear stick on jobber should be better.

That is a very good point, the rub marks. Ironic how something meant to protect paint can damage it!

Thanks Rob,

My reasons for getting one is that the road I travel to work is a very quick A road, with a poor surface, Driving day in day out can take its toll on the car, I would prefer a cloth/vinyl version as I think the 3M film tends to make the front look like a bad paint job in the sun.

I quite like the euro look of the bra on some cars, the R32 in post one looks quite sweet, but the function is more important.

Well, if we can get this lady from Nottingham to design and make a couple, then at least me and you Bigw, can get them. This really is one thing that I won't mind people saying looks cr@p LOL.

Been looking for a while myself and came up with nothing.

I would be interested in one for mine as the motorway miles are taking effect on my bonnet.

WIll be phoning lorraine tonight so may have an answer later chaps / chapesses

only got her hubby's number and he can't use it at work.

Thanks for that fluff

I think it would suit the silver too Josh, nice contrast

Try http://www.carbra.com.au/

I know they couldn't be any further away, but they were very helpful when I had my Alfa 156. They did one for that (even though it wasn't listed on their site) and they were looking into modifying the bottom of it for me to fit my front spoiler.

Then I lost interest in the car and got my Octy :D

Could be worth mailing them, they might be able to make one if someone provides an accurate set of measurements????

And they do all different colours/multi colours.

Hi VRSian,

Have emailed them giving Fabia / Octy 1&2 models (but no measurements) to see what they say and suggested the members of www.briskoda.net could be interested.

I'd be interested - definiteley not a waste of time unless massively expensive.

cheers

ian

Think they were about

Anybody considered not tailgating? I do 100 M-Way/A-road miles every day without any stone damage on the front.

But then I leave a 2sec gap between myself and the vehicle in front. Oddly, my mpg is consistently around 50 and my brake pads are like new after 20k miles. I don't hang about either

Try it, you might like it :D
