0% APR 7-21 Nov

Featured Replies

Looks like Skoda are offering 0% APR + £159 servicing package

But it is only for orders 7-21 Nov, must be delivered by end of March

So if about to order, wait 2 days as could save you £2-3k in interest

Minimum 15% deposit, maximum term 36 months, excludes SE technology spec

Not quite - there was a £1750 Skoda contribution with the previous 4.9% but none with 0% offer.

I have a Karoq on order and have contacted dealer as there might still be savings.

I've just done a deal on a new 1.5 tsi SE-L 0% finance + £3750 deposit contribution (my octavia has around 4.5k negative equity. Not sure I'm going to look forward to cross country driving any more, but it was a financial no brsi er for me...

Not a great offer as the 0% comes in lieu of the deposit contributions.

With the deposit contributions you would pay off the PCP in full, this avoiding the otherwise high APR, and clear it with a much cheaper bank loan.

The 1st quarter offers are almost always the best. Wait until the new year would be my advice.

The offers might suit someone - everyone's financial situation is different. Current offers end 21st Nov but who's to say on 22nd Nov they'll be an even better offer?  And in typical fashion, each dealer seems to have their own interpretation of the rules so it can become complicated.

As far as I can make out the current situation is:

Offer 1:  4.9% finance with £1000 bonus ( until 21st Nov) added to the normal £1750 financial contribution + £159 for 1st two services.

Offer 2: 0% finance with no contribution and no service offer.

Offer 3: This is were it gets awkward - For cash buyers they were offering £2750 off the price until 21st Nov but for whatever reason this may now have been pulled. Perhaps someone got it wrong.

If you've used DriveTheDeal or Carwow recently you can see the various interpretations. And then when you add in the dealership's incentive it all becomes very complicated. I've just spent a few days trying to ask a very simple question - what's the car going to cost me in total. If you ever want to confuse a salesperson, especially the younger ones, ask them that.

I think it may only be the 1.0 cars where the factory order lead times are approaching mid March which is a bit touch and go to make the condition of cars must be delivered by 31st March.

For my circumstances, offer 3 gave the best advantage over what's normally available and that's what I was going to chose but decided on offer 1 for no other reason than the service plan. Never went down the finance route before but the intention is to clear after a few days. Someone recommended waiting until the first payment was taken before cancelling but I couldn't work out why they said that.

This offer surely must have an impact on Kamiq sales. I noticed a Kamiq SE-L which I assume comes with 1.0 engine in the showroom the other day. Details were very sketchy, but I think the PCP was 5.9% on a new kamiq SE-L with £1250 financial contribution and that £159 service plan. A Karoq 1.0 SE-L is a larger car and equally if not bettter equipped. With the above Winter deal, it blows the Kamiq clean out of the water, the Karoq being much cheaper. You'd really have to want a kamiq to buy it over the cheaper Karoq

The Kamiq is brand new, it would be crazy to heavily discount a brand new product.

Tell that to Arnold Clark - the above car already had almost £1000 off list displayed on the sticker price.

In this market it'd be crazy to to discount it because it won't sell. Just have a look at the Kamiq forum to see folk chosing T-Cross as it represents better value.

I said heavily discount. £1,000 off is not a discount, it's the norm.

No one pays list price for a car. It's all about the monthlies. I can't see many people choosing the VW over the Skoda, on the contrary, plenty of Briskoda members ordering the Kamiq.

If the VW is cheaper this month, the Skoda will be cheaper next month.

Your example even shows the Kamiq to be more expensive than the Karoq.
