Hello 
I have skoda octavia combi II 1Z5 from 2009. 
Have replaced shock absorber on both rear wheels. 

From the left wheel there is a noise like dunk, dunk coming from the shock absorber console. When you have lifted the left rear wheel free from ground and lift up and down in the wheel then you can hear the noise. 
Noise is coming when wheel goes downwards. 
Have replaced shockabsorner + console. 

Does anyone have a good idea of what is causing this noise?

Was the noise the same before changing the shock?

 

Could the new shock be faulty?

Hi...MrRene, even my skoda Octavia rider 2007 model, same problem, rear left side dhunk dhunk sound coming, do u have any idea how u resolved this
