maps for octavia 2016 with Amundsen MIB1

Featured Replies

the navigation system tell me that there is no navigation data. can I use any SD card with my system ?? or I need the skoda SD card ??

With an Amundsen you MUST use a Skoda SD card, a normal card will not be recognised as having map data.

The cards are usually easily available on eBay (other auction sites are available) I got all of mine from there much cheaper than the official price.

BTW you can use both the MIB1 and MIB2 Amundsen SD cards in a MIB1 - I've been using a MIB2 SD card in my MIB1 since May.

thanks Dave, but I cant find the SD card on eBay with the maps of my region. so can I change the maps files after  I got the SD card. I have maps from VW website.

There was another thread on here with photos & exact part numbers for the Amundsen MIB1 which you could use when buying from eBay.

I would stick to an SDcard from the region you are from to be sure it would be compatible (Europe, Aus/Nz, etc).

where is the thread ??

google is your friend.. or the search bar in the forum:

There is this one below but I'm sure there is another from one of the guys who is a service technician/has access to the service information who had a photo of the part numbers which would work for a European Amundsen system.
