Evening all, when stuck in stop/start traffic I often ( though not all the time) have my front parking sensors bleep at me to say I am too close to the car in front when I am nowhere near it.   In the summer it happened occasionally and I thought perhaps it could have been an insect causing it.  Now it is cold I don't think it isn't insect related! Has anyone had a similar problem with their sensors?  Thanks.

Hi. From time to time I too get some bleeps and the infotainment shows red line - as if I'm too close to a car, but it's not the case. 

I have a very intermittent bleep and flashing red line from my rear parking sensors ( not always the same sensor ) when no obstacle is nearby.

When I am in the UK my nearest dealer is 75 miles away and now I'm in France for 6 months so it's something I'm content to live with until car goes in for routine service in due course.

There seems to be no pattern to the malfunction .

I feel slightly better now....although none the wiser!  It isn't a major problem as the sensors do work properly when close,to any object.  Just a bit random! 

Sometimes I've noticed the sensors go off when stopped on the magnetic grids in the road that tell traffic lights when a car is waiting.
