Leather?

Featured Replies

Does anyone know if the special prices for a Seat Surgeons leather re-trim are still available? and how much they are for a Superb?

Also do you think i'll be making a big mistake by not having heated seats? anyone else got the leather without heated seats? does it get that cold? Also being a taxi it'll get quite heavily used so is the re-trim up to the job?

I did do a search BTW, but couldn't find any info (I am rather lazy though).

I've got seat heaters in my Fabia vRS and to be honest I don't use them any more. The leather warms up quickly enough just with bum heat, and the thickness of the hide means it takes ages for the seat heaters to produce any noticeable benefit.

Having said that, if you've been working outside all day and got chilled to the bone, the 'massage' you get from the seatheaters is wonderful!

This reminds:- I need to speak to Paul about re-trimming my rear bench!

I was planning on wiring up the heaters on my TT leather but on cold mornings, they're only cold for about 10 seconds or so, even when the outside temp is down to -2 degrees.

I have seat heaters on my Octy but to be honest, they're not used all that much. Perhaps for about half a minute when it's an exceptionally cold morning.

Off topic I know, but you're not the chap at a certain West Byfleet taxi company next to the train station are you?

No, I'm further south than that, about as far south as you can go really! (without getting wet). Near Brighton (ish).
