Mats

Featured Replies

Hi all

My new SE Tech estate arrives on Mon.

Its my first ever new car, a lease. Do octys come with mats as standard?

Probably not, so i assume I'll need to buy some.

Seen the oem rubber ones for £42 on ebay. Are they any good? How are they compared to carpet? Do they fill with water on those wet/snowy days? Any other suggestions?

Cheers

Skoda do some nice carpet mats with fixings. Had mine for 34000 miles and no shine of appreciable wear from changing gear and braking. Regular hoovering and occasional shampoo keeps them good.

I have both, the carpet ones are good but if you need them the OEM rubber ones are really good.

They are really heavy and yes they do fill up, but that is the whole point, they catch everything that falls off your feet and hold it, protecting your carpet, until you lift/tip//brush/hoover it out.

I swap them occasionally depending what I use the car for, especially for the winter. Gives me chance to clean and dry the others at my leisure.

I have a lease SE Tech and mine came with no mats.
From my local dealer I got the basic textile mats. Myself & the parts guy could hardly tell the difference between standard and premium so I got standard.
For rubber mats I have dedicated Travall rubber mats for a mk 3 Octavia £30 + £5 delivery. They are lipped so will hold a fair amount of water / snow.
