Replacing side air vents on 2010 Elegance

Featured Replies

I've damaged the louvres on both of my front dash side vents so need to change them. When i tried to remove one i noticed a wire connected to it.

What is this doing? I also need to know how to remove the little plug attaching it. I was going to buy a couple of used ones off ebay.

The wires will be one of two possibility's...

1) Temperature sensor, to allow the car to monitor the output air temperatures, although these are usually located behind the central air vents, not the outer ones.

2) Ceramic heating elements, to speed up / aid the demisting / defrosting of the side windows.
