What's going on?

Discussions with SWMBO this afternoon, and we think we are going to get this fixed and then start looking for a petrol engined car, due to our current usage. Problem now is to find something suitable to tow 1150kg and isn't much bigger than the Yeti, so that rules out the Kodiak and the Karoq. At the moment the Kia Sportage is in first place.

If the Sportage and Tucson are in the running, but thought, possibly, to be slightly too long ,... then surely the Niro must be worth looking at. Towing capacity 1300kg.

Hadn't thought of that so will have a look.

Which of the two criteria (towing capacity and size) resulted in you ruling out the Karoq?

Size more than anything.

And we've just looked at the details of the Kia Niro and it does look interesting. Will leave it until after Christmas and see if we can book a test drive.

It's a fair point, despite the Karoq being more spacious on paper than the Yeti, I'm not convinced it is, at least inside.

Don’t forget the ongoing issues with the 1.5 ltr petrol Engine thro out the vag range and long term effects on these engines.

We looked at one last time we were down in Swansea and thought exactly that; nice, but.....................

And as Sad says there is still the "problem" of the 1.5.

Of course there is a simpler, cheaper solution, 2 x bikes, oo'er a tandem and a tent, good for the environment, health etc!  ; - D)
