Which dash clusters were the Mk1 Octavias available with?

Featured Replies

Hello,

I've got the one where the trip info is displayed under the rev counter. It's annoying though, as you can't see both trip information (average mpg, etc) and the clock at the same time!

Did they ever fit the ones with the half-height or full-height dot matrix display? If so, and I found one, would they show the radio station information from a Skoda Symphony rad/cass?

I know I could find a VW cluster, as is mentioned in the Technical Guide for switching to blue backlights, but I like the green!

Cheers

J

You would need a cluster from an octavia that had factory fit sat nav.

L+K's have dot matrix dash inserts with the mfa computer info in the centre.

A fountain of knowledge as always!

The 'low pixel' one, or the 'high pixel' one (half way down the page)?

I'm pretty certain it was the low pixel one as I'm sure that was fitted to my L&K estate.

I think John is right.

Octavias with automatic transmission have (had) the half-height dot matrix, probably because it was the easiest way to get the "PRND321" display into the instrument cluster.
