correct operating temps / pressures

Featured Replies

hi all,

I've noticed recently my car doesn't seem to be getting up to the operating temps it used to and im wondering if  there's some guidelines for operational specification.

reason I noticed is because the coolant needle was dropping but 5/10 degrees where it used to sit at 90 after about 10 mins and never moved, im thinking could be a failing CTS/thermostat getting stuck slightly

currently reads after 12miles / 25 mins

Coolant 74c

engine oil 77c

Are you getting too much warm air for cabin before the engine oil reaches the proper temp?

Is it you describe you used to see 90 even in winters?

Mine's if not reaching the oil over 70 at least and have the heater blow at higher speeds it may start dropping the needle of coolant mainly with no engine drive load like downhills or low rpm's generally  and ambient temps lower than 10'C...

heater is not used / yes even in the coldest weather used to sit at 90 and never moved and oil temp was always around 84c at the end of my journey

Have you tried to scan in any case any error/message has been shown?

no error codes and non pending

then yes sounds like could be thermostat issues -

if any other member has additional ideas..
