Fabia 1.4 Mpi 8v issue

Featured Replies

Hi

I have a Skoda Fabia 1.4 8v Mpi Classic.

I have a little issue. When starting car cold it starts normal but as soon i press gas pedal it stalls, so i need to wait about 15 seconds to drive away.

Is there something wrong with my throttle body? Do i need to reset it?

Its like i said only first seconds but after 15 sec i can drive away without problem

CTS sensor, it's running too lean when cold.

Ok CTS sensor. What is there any link of how it looks? What is CTS?

Thanks

Coolant temperature sensors. Easiest thing ever to replace, there’s a guide on the “how to” section in main Fabia forum lists.

i did mine earlier on this year; there were suggestions in here about replacing more than just the sensor, as other bits could have corroded. However as mine wasn’t actually showing any problems I just replaced the sensor.

Its only when cold and new fresh start not when hot. And my needle works as normal so how could it be that sensor?

While you are under the bonnet, check the vacuum hose going to the brake booster. They crack where the hard plastic sections terminate onto the non-return valve, creating air leaks.

Ok i started my car this morning and put in reverse and started to drive directly and now it did not try to stall. Seems that even if my CTS sensor worked there was some issue with it somehow. Now with new one problem solved.

Thanks for help all.
