Superb Estate Central Locking Confusion!

Featured Replies

Hi all! I've just bought my first Skoda. Having worked my way through lot's of vag and bmw car's I've taken the leap!

So far I can't believe how good it is! I've got a 2011 Superb Estate/Cruise liner. It's brilliantly specced and put together excellently! I've fallen for it!

Now to my question...

I have it set so the doors lock as I pull away, pretty standard. However when I arrive, remove key from the ignition and get out I cannot open the other doors from the outside (without using the key remote). This is completely unique to any car I've owned!

Can I change something in the settings to correct this?

You can alter the behaviour in the setup menu on the MFD. Go into Settings->Convenience->Central Locking and it should be in there. There are a few options for controlling how & when the car locks and unlocks which are pretty self-explanatory.

Hi, and thanks for trying to help.

Got everything set up to lock and unlock automatically but just doesn't for some reason.

Didn't know if there is a certain combination of settings needed to work correctly?

Have you looked at the settings for selective unlocking?

Aside from that, do all of the controls on the driver's door for other doors (mirrors/windows/etc) work properly?

Strange, on my 2011 Superb I too had the auto locking when the speed reached 10mph (15kph).

On mine when I turned the engine off and removed the key all the doors and boot unlocked. I could then get out of the drivers seat and retrieve my bag and coat from the rear seat through the drivers side rear door without having to press any buttons either in the car or on the key fob.

The manual doesn't provide over much detail...

Thanks for that!

I've cracked it this afternoon.

Unticked automatic lock and excited menu. Went back in and ticked it again. Then for good luck I did all Windows open, then press open again and repeated with the close process.

Sorted!

Thanks for your help! Looks like a great helpful forum!
