Is this persistent?  Anything obstructing the MRR on the grille?

This usually pops up on mine in heavy rain/sleet/snow.

Yeah tried the usual stuff. Sensor nice and clean even wiped my hand over it which came back clean lol !

Diagnostics next I suppose but I've seen quite a few ACC/Front assist related faults via OBDEleven on both my Superbs and out of those multiple faults, I've perhaps had two pop up on the dash (when I was driving in the aforementioned bad weather). e.g diagnostics could have some red herrings too.

Just seaching the forums about this and it appears that the dealers are asking north of £300 to fix !!! I have an extended warranty and i'll not be best pleased if they try that one.... Car has not been hit it was parked on my drive all night with the front end 2 ft from the gararge door....

Are you sure you haven't hit a small bird or similar? I had a similar problem with Front Assist on my Octavia Mk III after striking a bird. It would be ok for a mile or so and then displayed the Unavailable message.   No apparent sign of damage upon initial inspection  but after a careful check, I realized that it was tilted off-plane very slightly and took about 5-6 attempts with small adjustments to realign it and avoid a dealership bill for recalibration.

Positive I’ve not hit anything. Firstly it was fine on way home yesterday in the dark. Had the cruise engaged in stop start traffic 2 minutes away from home. Problem then manifested after a night sat on the drive.

The sensor is also different on the Superb it’s sat behind a cover on the front grill.

Also noticed on way home that drive modes are not working. The button is white and when pressed illuminates orange for a second before reverting back to white. Nothing appears on the Columbus.

So I guess if I decided I could live without the cruise I would still be without the driving modes 😞

Last guess...before you take it to a dealers, could it be moisture/mist/condensation affecting a sensor? I.e. could you leave the car in a heated garage overnight?

haha I wish I could ! I have a great garage but ....

I had the same issues with our MY2020 last week when we had the space saver on the front and the TPMS triggered and wouldn't reset. Might be worth a look

Had a look at it and it looks fine :-( Restored the values OK.

I've a Carista dongle with a trial subscription if you want to try scanning for any error codes.

I think the best solution is to take your car to the dealers, a Kia one and get a p/x price against a 3.3 Stinger GTS.  Your car is tired and needs to go to farm in the country to play with the other cars.

It can be a battery issue. Had the same thing. Always with a cold start. Sometimes with a warm start. If the voltage dips too much you will get these errors.

My battery was 1,5 years old....

Yeah this had crossed my mind but the motors not showing any other signs of a tired bat although i've not checked it.... I did have a spirited 14 mile run down the local bypass to give it a bit of extra juice but no luck....

😧

I think as a 280 owner the GTS is a car that would appeal. I know I like them and would consider one. I tried to test drive one before ordering my 280 but the dealer only had diesels and a 2.0 petrol.

If it ever goes pear shaped with mine....

My trial runs out 2nd January 😂

Did our beloved dealer sort our your Columbus 'I'm a toaster not a multimedia system' problem after your replacement key coding?

Yeah they sorted it. Apparently caused by servers at Skodas end. I didnt mention my 30 years working in IT 😉

Yeah its a beast... Seriously though I'm happy with the Superb and not paying 300 quid a month for a new motor. I've still only done 25k. Even if I end up having to pay to get the cruise sorted it's still cheaper than a new one.... I'm also determined my next car will be an F-Type SVR so the Superb will carry on the family duties...

Great result today …. Extremely annoying buzz fixed... Turned out to be a known problem with the fuel lines. Car now silent again 🙂

Even better reset of Front Assist cured problem so I have my cruise back ! Bloody hell I've missed it !!!

Oh and also told the Mrs it cost £295 …. Should I feel bad about this ?
